New car anti smoking laws

Earlier this month it became illegal to smoke in a car while carrying persons under 18.
Am I still allowed to smoke on my motorbike whilst carrying my 15 year old daughter on the back ?

It is sad we need laws like this but unfortunately we do.
There are moves to make similar law in NZ.

Did your motorcycle license test include a test of your driving ability carrying a passenger while having a cigarette? I'd liken that to texting while driving.
