Pretty sure he's Scottish.
NOTHING TO DO WITH MARATHON:

I met a guy from London in the Uk last night drove me home from dialysis on the access-a-bus. I never drive on Dialysis days. Very thick English accent from others I have met from that area. Very nice fellow, I never asked why he moved here first time meeting him. I assume I will get him again in the future we chatted all the way home about 20 minutes from the Hospital. He use to Clean windows, highest in the air he was 22 stories high. Not a job I would want for sure. Imagine falling that far. He told me it isn't the fall it is the landing! I believe that was some English humor. 😉

Well said he was from London and had what sounded to be like a very heavy English accent. If that isn't British I don't know what is. It is like he moved here not long ago, I will be talking to him further I am sure. He certainly isn't the shy type.
No idea how to pronounce my last name just my first, he didn't even try.

It's impossible for a British person to have a 20 minutes conversation without mentioning the weather 😉

How is it possible, one wonders.
It's possible because of advances in shoe technology.

The shoes are the part of the machine that touch the ground - and hence the cause of friction or resistance (not the same thing physics-wise - but close enough for this discussion )

The human body is designed to run long distances. Not fast - long.
