You can set a range there, but i doubt you'll get much attention as an unrated player yourself...you can also accept games from players in your selected range, but again if they have ranges set you will not be able to play them (some people don't like playing provisional players).
I am new. I have not played one game yet. I don't want to play a game in 3 days or a week or so. I just want to play a couple of games then go to sleep. I would like to set my initial rating as 1600 and welcome any player within 1400 and 1800. How do I set this?

Originally posted by KewpieThanks for your opinion. Actually, I want to play some good games within my range. 45 to 60 minutes for one side is ideal to me. Most people play blitz or unrated games are just for fun. That's not what I am looking for. Do you know any places could fit me better?
Blitz is the game where you both play at the same time, and set a time limit. Those games aren't rated. You'll find the blitz board along the header line on every page, under the "log out" place.
