hey can anyone suggest a chess program that i can play on my computer that includes network play,(ill be using it mainly at work where we run win 2k and XP) and maybe for luck also double as an email CC program that keeps track of email games? i wanna get started in this and a few people at my work does also(thats why i want network play included), so i thought it would be great to have both in the same program. any suggestions would be great.

play 1 min, 2 min and up games, not like here which is more like
correspondence chess. I play there all the time, they also have
tournies and masters willing to play you for a few sheckles
(they call them Ducats, I forget how much a Ducat is, quarter?)
anyway its a great site. check it out. Also, Fritz can analyze positions
and do training exercises and lots of other stuff. It can work with
Chessbase and other engines and you can have it all on a laptop
for preparation work.

hey thx, so this fritz 8 is playable over a network also?
says "play fritz" and the other half says go to Playchess.com
so its one or the other. You can use fritz as an official computer
player, so designated so its not cheating but don't know how it
connects, I have not done that bit as of yet.
Fritz is VERY powerful, one of the best. Maybe not THE best but at
our level, Fritz kicks butt.
