vaknso,
if you were able to load a game, then you should be good to go. If
you click on the "Your Games" link, you should see the game that you
loaded. Click on that game (the first field in the table is a link) and
on the next page you will see a link "create new report for this game".
When you click on it, you can specify parameters and then start the
report.
Or send an e-mail to webmaster@nimbleknight.com
The reply is usually very prompt.
Here is how I've done it:
Hope it's not too wordy.
PS I'm using Windows XP and running Internet Explorer 5. Hope all
this is the same for other systems.
AT RHP
1) email yourself the game of interest. It's automatically in PGN
format.
2) cut and past from email and save as a "text file" on your computer.
I use either of the text editors - Notepad, or Wordpad - that come with
Windows. (Note, if you use a wordprocessor like Word, make sure to
save as a ".txt" file NOT a ".doc" file.) I usually name it with the
player's name and RHP game ID.
So now you have a saved game from RHP on your computer.
Go to NimbleKnight:
1) First, I assume you've opened an account at knimbleknight and are
logged in. If not, do it!
2) on the right side (or at the bottom) click on "upload game"
3) Hit the "Browse" button to start looking on your computer for the
saved RHP game in pgn format.
4) Select the game you want and click the "open" button in the dialog
box.
5) Your back at the the nimbleKnight browser page and should now
see the "pathway" to the game in the "YOur game" box. You should
see something like "C:\desktop\buttkickchessgame.pgn" or whatever
the path to the file was.
6) type in something for description if you want. Or don't.
6) click on the "Load" button.
7) you should now be taken to a new window which lists the game.
8) Hit the "create report" button.
9) Pick the report options you want at the new window.
10) Hit submit.
Wait awhile for the analysis to be done. It's NOT instantaneous. May
take a few minutes, longer the more moves and depth you want to
search.
Hope that helps.
Michael
