I use two different browsers: Internet explorer and Firefox (which is far better in most respects).
Now, neither of my browsers will work! I've removed them, re-installed them, gave them kisses and told them sweet things, but they just won't work!
Does anyone know what the matter could be? I did the online virus-scan thing over my computer and it didn't find a virus.
When you control-alt-delete you can see that the browser has started, but it's not functioning properly...
So, I hear you whisper in a one-too-many-whisky's-the night before-voice: "How did you post this then??"
The computer browser: windows explorer.

Poor baby, (while rubbing your back) this must be so very difficult for you....I cannot imagine the trauma of having your loyal companion Computer, being so desperately ill. To say nothing of your frustration in attempting to connect with your brethren in the wider community of the world...such difficulities....And, yet you do not succumb to despair....sweet brave boy....
May I get you some milk and cookies.....oh, wait.....I bet it being you, shav....you would prefer, a nice hot toddy with a side of those fried candy bars and fresh strawberries served by a playboy bunny...no bunnies are too trite for you....ahhh, a lovely nubile bell adorned belly dancer?
Sweet dear, shav, I am so proud of you for surmounting such horrible circumstances courageously and gracefully.....
FYI, I am perfectly sincere.
Your happiness is our happiness (Only slightly less sincere).
😉
Why don't you just use the force ? Luke turned off his computer , trusted the force , and blew up the killer planet thingie , and you're letting a simple billyware glitch get in your way ? Have you put on your Princess Leah outfit while trying to fix it ? Did you take all your action dollies and stand them round the monitor to increase the power of the force ?
Or if that doesn't work , try sticking a fork into the slit thing . I hear that works great on toasters too .
If neither program works even after you re-installed them, then maybe there is a windows dll used by both programs but it is missing/corrupt on your PC? I'm not really sure how to prove this.
I would try running a malware remove program like Lavasoft's adaware first: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
Then try visiting Windows Update site (if that is possible).
Then re-install Windows (don't format, but re-install over the top of your current install).
