Why would you get the ban?

The men's English is right on. Just out of curiosity, does this "communication flaw" in men make it impossible for women to ever relate to them?

Because quoting something inappropriate seems to be just as bad as posting it yourself.

I edited it out. But according to the new rules, you aren't allowed to post in a thread at all if the first post contains something inappropriate, if I understand it correctly.

The way I understood it was that if the first post had something inappropriate in it and the following posts quoted the first post the first post would be removed and so would the posts following that had quoted it...

"Think before following up the first post in a thread where the first post contains inappropriate language. When the first post is moderated, all following posts are moderated too."

Does "following up" mean quoting it, or just replying to it? I don't know. In case of my ban, even those posts which didn't contain any inappropriate words (including the quote), but were about the same topic as the one which may have been considered inappropriate, were removed.

mmm... was the thread removed or just the posts following? I figure if you don`t quote the inappropriate language of the previous post and just reply to it that should be okay... But what you said there obviously shows that that is not the case?

I am not entirely sure. The post which most likely caused Dr Strangelove's and my ban was not the first one in the thread, and there were several threads at that time which had gone pretty far off topic and which I kept mixing up, so when the posts disappeared, I wasn't sure whether the thread had disappeared as well or whether it was still there, but a bit thinner.

"Moderated" is a vague term. It could mean that a post is removed, or an entire thread is removed, or that the author is banned from using the forum, or a combination of these actions.
