This thread is for you to share your weirdest (though favorite) snacks.

A good formula to know if it's weird or not is to ask yourself:

"Who else in the whole world is eating this at this exact moment?"

Go!

Me...

Dried beef soaked in lemon juice with drops of habanero sauce.

As a (snack) dessert, I'll have a cream cheese & pineapple jam sandwich.

Beat that!

i went down to the farmers' market and bought a bunch of asparagus freshly picked just hours earlier. it still had the morning dew on it. ah, nature's bounty!

then i whipped up some fritter batter using self-raising flour, milk, eggs, salt and pepper. i covered the asparagus in the batter, and deep fried it in a 50-50 mix of goose fat and lard. then i dipped each fritter in honey, rolled it in biscuit crumbs, and deep fried it all over again. for the finale, i squirted whole-egg mayonnaise, imported from the Netherlands, all over it.

food porn, yeah!😵

Yum! 😕

And me feeling bad for smuggling into Finland 5 kilos of dried beef!

Edit. By the way, have you tried moon cakes? Oceania (around Olvi Karaoke) and the other Chinese shop behind Hakaniementori are selling them right now. Don't miss trying some! 🙂

I see. No worries, dude.

However, if you feel daring check the link below; they're not as Western cakes or sweets, and they can be salty depending on the filling.
