I rest my case.

Did someone already come up with this idea? If so I second it.

Glad to see my money is going toward a worthwhile cause....

RTH, Personally, I don't really like the idea of pay-per-move and pay-per-post. I think it would creat a huge administrative burden for the site admins. I think it would be better with our current system.
I also think we should have member's only forums. Maybe leave a few opne to everyone, so the non-subs can get a taste of the community. But the continuous and repetitive dumb posts has worn on me over time.

Here is what I really think about this.

By all means let people come in and be able to play chess. There should be a limit to the forums that a non-sub can post in.
They should not be able for example to post in the clans forum, or the tournaments for sure. Just give them the general forum and leave it at that.
This site is pretty easy as far a rules go. Why not ban posters from posting instead of kicking them from the site? I don't get that, it's like shooting ones self in the foot.

I think its fine as it is really, one thing that i think might be an idea is to limit the number of new threads they make, but then i can imagine them thinking "oh I haven't made my thread for today I'd better quickly think of something funny so I dont waste it" Although this would only be the case with a few people.

The site admins used to do this (maybe still do?), but nearly everyone that was an idiot in the forums just switched to being an idiot via PM. It hasn't been that bad as of late, but I recall some pretty bad offenders that were kicked from the forums and immediately switched to mass PM's.

This is most likely the reason behind the adoptation of kicking people from the site policy.
