Are you being sarcastic? I'm pretty sure that the advertising revenue created on this site is a significant part of the income FOR the site.

And don't the owners of the site deserve something in their own pockets?

www.redhotpawn.com is supported by paid advertisements. To remove ads and unlock all site features, please click here.

This is on the bottom of my page as non-subscriber.

Wouldn't the advertising revenue of RHP dry up if everyone subscribed? I thought all ads were blocked once you subscribed? Therefore, less money, less development and possibly the collapse of RHP altogether.

So think on that you non-subscriber mockers and denegrators.....

What the one advert that pops up.... the "Subscribe to RHP" advert.

OH MY GOD!!! Think of the consequences if the "Subscribe to RHP" advert disappeared when everyone subscribed to RHP... what a disaster that would be! 😲

As you are a subscriber, I doubt you will see the advertising from:

O2, Halfords, Npower, Wembley Stadium, Weightwatcher.co.uk, Something about smileys, Edinbrugh Pass 2005; etc etc.

Because you subscribe, they disappear

If you have Mozilla Firefox you can just right click the banner and click the option block images from "so and so.com" and reload the page , you usually will not see the ad unless its a flash movie πŸ˜€ .
I do it for all sites.

I downloaded a pop up blocker from Microsoft, a pop up blocker for IE, and instead of ads it displays “The page cannot be displayed”

What's the problem with non-subscribers posting?
If you don't want to join a clan or enter tournaments, why would you want to subscribe?
We all know that subscribers are just as capable of posting messages just as dull or offensive as non-subscribers.
This is a free chess community with benefits for subscribers.
I don't see any need to change that.
