"Nothing" might be overstating it, to be fair. But there are plenty of things that are bigged-up to a baffling degree.
Which things come to mind?
Surely an ideal beach is almost deserted. The more people there are, the more diminished the beach is.
Arriving at a popular and otherwise picturesque beach thronging with half-naked people, smeared with lotions - sitting on towels and deck chairs, wading in the shallow, teeming water - is surely a textbook example of "disappointment".
