Colorado is a very laidback state, especially in the ski areas. Texans can be very pushy and rude. You really don't want to wait on one. They will run you around like a dog chasing a frisbee.

Of course, I have many friends from Texas and the anti-texas thing is more a good joke than true feeling.

Like the old joke were a Texan, a Coloradan and a Californian are drinking in a bar. The Californian finishes his glass of wine and throws the glass on the floor a smashing it and orders another. He looks at the other two and says "In California we have so much money we never have to drink out of the same glass twice." Not to be outdone the Texan finishes his shot of tequila and smashes the shot glass on the floor and says "Well in Texas we have so much oil we never have to drink out of the same glass either" The Coloradan finishes his beer, pulls out his gun, shoots the Californian and the Texan, turns to the bartender and says "In Colorado we have so many Texans and Californians we never have to drink with the same one twice"

BTW...does anyone know where one can obtain Eddie Izzard standups. I've seen threee of his throughout my life and want to obtain them but they are non-existant in Hawaii. I mean you can't rent, buy, or in any other way obtain a viewing of his work. Can someone in Europe help me out? NN

I saw Eddie Izzard two weeks ago at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. He was pretty good, but the fourth best comedy folk group in New Zealand stole the show. The Flight of the Conchord was hilarious. I can only imagine what the other three are like. They said the third most popular comedy folk group was a Flight of the Conchord cover band.

The Flight are pretty good. I think they have a contract with NBC to write a sitcom Kiwi style. Watch out Yanks! 😉

lucky me then... here, we officially learn brit. english in school... but I often don't even know which form is which and just pick the easier one. If my teacher then says "Well that's american english" I will say something along the lines of "so? screw you, I lived in Boston for two years, so of course I speak american". I have never been downgraded 😛 (Maybe that's because my English teachers seem to be afraid my English is better than theirs... sadly, this seems to be true in most cases at our school :'()
