Many decimal places to express it but a good point. Back to bedrock

basics, on average do all animals have one testicle and one teat?

Doubtful. In most species, females outnumber males, and females of many species have more than 2 teats.

I am not sure if that's true for fingers. Extra fingers aren't that incommon, I think.

True, but missing ones are more common, I would guess. After all, lose an arm and that's FOUR of the little buggers gone in one go!

Women outnumber men.

Average testicles = ((men*2) - losses + extras) / (men+women), or slightly less than 1.
Average teats = (((men+women)*2)-losses + extras) / (men+women), slightly less than 2.

2 edits - I'll get this right eventually!

Good point (hm, only four?). If people are born with approximately 10 fingers on average (I don't know if that's the case), the number would decline for older people.

Er... How do you come up with "slightly less than 2" teats? Most women have two, and most men don't have any (I don't know if there are any men who can produce milk?), so I would expect it to be approximately the same number as testicles.

You must lead a very sheltered life.

They may not work, but we've got 'em and we're proud of it!

Teats are not the same as nipples. Or do you have a "protuberance through which milk is drawn from an udder or breast"?

Apparently that is a side-effect of some psychiatric medication whose name escapes me right now.
