If you owned the Yankees, wouldn't you do your best to ensure that it's a winning team and a sucessful franchise? Shouldn't you do everything you can to be the best you can possibly be? I don't think the rest of the league is as pure and lily white as you make them out to be.
This is not Field of Dreams where Doc Graham innocently strolls out of the cornfield to revive your naive dreams of a simpler era. Today, Doc pulls up in an Escalade, flanked by hot women with fake breasts. If his team doesn't pay him enough, he goes somewhere else.
