It is a fair point. But another way to look at it is that the non-champions of the "big" leagues would almost certainly run away with the titles in the "smaller" leagues. I mean, does anyone doubt that even Liverpool could be crowned champions of the Cypriot league. Okay, bad example. Maybe not Liverpool, but certainly Chelsea and Arsenal.
