Why has the price of petrol in the pumps, not dropped by a third ?

When the price of oil rose, they petrol stations were quick enough to put the prices up, but now that the prices have dropped from $150 to under $100, they seem to be dragging their heels.

Which politician should i punch to fix this 😠

Politicians do not control the Oil Companies; it's the other way around. The asymmetric price fluctuations on either side of a crude oil price-spike has long been a valid consumer complaint, but Oil Companies have no heart and will greedily grasp for every petro-dollar they can get their grubby little hands on. The only way this will change is to nationalize the Oil Industry, maybe under the umbrella of national security interests for the common good and welfare.

Doesn't the US IMPORT 80% of what they consume? How do you propose nationalizing offshore producers?

you don't.

But you can nationalize the oil refineries in the US. See the link posted above to figure out why.
