Have I missed something here - or should there not be some indication as to when the vacation ends. I'll wait - but not for ever.

Hey Martin-
Haven't seen you in a while! You probably don't remember me....we played a game many moons ago. I'm pretty sure you were the first pawn star I played at this site. As far as your question goes, who are you talking about?!

It seems there should be some sort of limit or indication of when vacation ends, I usually give a couple of weeks though.

oh okay, i know what your talking about now (sorry, when i posted last i was tired, obviously wasn't thinking properly 🙂). i have never had this happen to me, but i would probably give them a week and then T/O them....does that make me mean?

Maybe not mean but I would give them at least 2-3 weeks before taking a T/O. They had the courtesy to let you know that they could not move for a while so I think you should be considerate to that fact. It's not like having their game sitting in your game queue is hurting you or anything. I'll take a T/O against someone who has not turned on the vacation setting but not against someone who was kind enough to let me know they were going to be out of touch for a while.

good point.....i guess from now on i'll give them a couple weeks (if their vacation setting is on). but i like people that put more details in their profile (then i know that they are not just saying they are going on vacation, when they really aren't)

I agree with ChessNut. I wouldn't time out someone if their vacation setting was on. Also, I don't usually take timeouts unless I am far ahead. If they are beating me, they have the right to do so. In other games, like my "game" with royalchiken2, my opponent is so far behind that I time him out.
