For all you Ontarians, the Lotto 6/49 jackpot is up to $48 million this Saturday! I never usually play the lottery, but in this case the jackpot is so high that even with the expected splitting of the jackpot, the expectation of this bet is positive, i.e. this is a fair bet, and the edge actually resides with the player instead of the house (which is a nice switch). 🙂

EDIT: Lottery winnings are tax exempt in Ontario...if I win, I'm going to seriously consider renewing my subscription to RHP. 😉
