I have put up games in the open invites and a lot of times i get people accepting my game, then i check them out and find that they havent moved for like 400-500 days. There seem to be numerous people like this.
Anyone else experienced this.

There are a number of people who hang around in the forums without actually playing chess, sometimes they make trouble there and earn a forum ban. Might be a good idea to name here anyone who does this to you, to give the admins/mods a chance to check them out.

a good idea would be to delete any one who is a non subscriber that has not moved in a certain amount of days. what amount i recommend 500. unless others have a better idea.

What do you mean by "delete" someone? Ban them from playing because they dont play?
And why only non-subs?
Subscribers break the rules too. 😠

a better idea is that everyone must make a minimum of one move per game per day, unless on vacation, otherwise they cant access the forums.

Another idea is to play games only with a T/O that is acceptable to you, and time out the opponents who don't move in time. Much better than inventing new site rules, in my opinion.

I'm not aware of anything in the TOS that says that if you join this site you have to play chess. So if you join and just use the forum I don't think that is a violation of anything.

Rather than making a list in the public forum of members who "might" make trouble, why not just wait until they actually do make trouble. That's how it has always been handled and it seems to work just fine.

In the past the site admin have specifically asked that we refrain from making accusations against individuals in the forums. They asked that the feedback system be used instead. I'm not aware of any change in their policy.

Are the people who are accepting your challenges playing out the games or are they deleting them?

If they are playing the games then I don't see what the problem is, assuming there is a problem in the first place.

PS - All the "good" and "better" ideas stated in this thread are garbage except for Mephisto's.

Of course it's not. I can name a few posters here that have never moved that have made great contributions to the forum:

ChronicLeaky
BigDoggProblem
ThudandBlunder
SwissGambit

just off the top of my head.

I agree. My point was that if a member wants to "hang around in the forums without actually playing chess", they can do that. It isn't a problem.

BigDoggProblem has made over 2000 moves.

I agree with your point though.
