Without being blunt I think the best way to learn moves/openings is
to get some books from the library and have a read and then practise
them against opponents here at RHP. Trial and Error until you find
some openings that you like,

Well, there is thousands of opening's you could use. Finding the right
one for you is the problem. I started by learning e4, with things like
the sicilian, caro kahn etc.. But, now i like to play d4, with the
stonewall, four pawns, three pawns etc.. the first thing i ever learned
to do was this little four combo for beginers. Nf3...g3...Bg2...0-0.
Otherwise, buy a good book for openings!! Or one based on the
sicilian; that is the most widely used Chess opening.
