come all ye proponents and naysayers, I'm thinking seriously about having someone reshape my cornea with a friken laserbeam and would like to gather as many random, anecdotal opinions from perfectly anonymous strangers as possible.

thanks in advance.

Not a big deal. If they screw up one eye, you've always got another one.

No, seriously. I had this done several years ago. It was disgusing and uncomfortable at the time, but great ever since. Just don't blink when the laser is going, you may never be able to close your eyelid again.

I've heard it has come a long way in the past 5 years or so. Talk with a couple of doctors, I don't need it... but I hear it is even safer than ever before if you find the right doctor to do it for you.

Seriously- A buddy had it done. He's uber afraid of needles, blood, and pain. He said it was no big deal and he's glad he did it.

an ex-coworker had double vision after getting it .... but another didn't, so you have a 50-50 chance.
