rhp is good but i also want to play quick games, i'm on uchess but the java app seems very unreliable. Can anyone suggest a good site?
I would recommend Caissa's Web. I was on there years ago, and their Java implementation is excellent, but they do require a subscription if you plan to stay longer than a couple weeks or so.
It's worth it though, because the sub requirement helps keep out most of the kids and hooligans.
I'd still be there, but I rarely, if ever, have the time to play whole games at one sitting anymore, and quick chess just trashes my correspondence play. When I get used to moving fast, I'm even more rubbish at chess than I already am.

Originally posted by WildfireI know the reason why, it is because people could create multiple accounts on there and you are allowed only 1 account as human, and then you can have 1 account if you create your own robot to play!
I don't like FICS because it won't let you register with a free email account.
Originally posted by ivanhoeYeah but as a guest you don't get the benefits as a member! FICS is totally free and you can become a member! So you get the benefits of a member for free! ICC sucks! It is good in the sense that you can get lectures and stuff from GM's but once again you have to be a member!
