I use to eat a lot of Chineese food & one of the dishes was called Orange chicken and was it ever hot, brought water to my eyes first couple of bites. I ended up having to go half Lemmon - half Orange. That tamed it down enough for me!

That Hot Mustard would probably have me crying!

The Korean place on the corner makes a great octopus soup. They leave it to simmer on the table. Over time the broth gets concentrated, more and more spicy...just as you're getting used to it. It's pretty clever!

i like to throw chopped-up chillies in the stir-fry, seeds and all. i suffer as i eat the resulting dish, but at the same time it's enjoyable. when i was in South Korea, a friend introduced me to the practice of eating raw chillies as a beer snack. intense!

I love curry, chili, and wings
which type of curries do you like? My wife is from the Punjab and makes authentic Indian curries, however, my favourite is from a restaurant in my small and insignificant town, saag paneer, Indian cheese and spinach in a beautiful creamy spicy sauce. Indian cheese does not melt when heated and is rich and creamy, yum e yum. Also quite partial to a mixed tandoori platter, comes from the tandoori over sizzling hot and is great with a large glass of lal toofan (red storm) (Indian beer roughly the same strength as a glass of white wine 9😵

this year i am growing apache chillies, which are largely ornamental, scotch bonnets are for those that like it hot going in and hot coming out. My father in law also used to eat raw chillies as a kind of snack. Beer is essential.

any kind of curried stews, Indian, Chinese or otherwise. Thai curry is excellent as well.

you must come to my home, today we had kofta (meat balls (usually lamb) in hot spicy curry sauce), served with lime pickles, basmati rice and natural yoghurt, with some rather excellent blonde beer (scottish handcrafted) to wash it down.
