would not take that to heart, they'd look at most-likely suspects first, especially people with access to the house, and sounds like they had to do blood tests and a phone record search before finding a different angle, all that takes time and would probably have been handled in parallel.

She was the most brilliant woman I ever knew personally and partner of Paul Hurst, an incredible harpist, pianist and composer living in Sante Fe NM. She got stabbed to death by a man who did work around the house. You can google in the story. She will be sorely missed. She was my wife's cousin and they were as close or closer than sister.
