People cheat, get use to it. But you may have also made a mistake.
Think of the consequences to the people that you have accused. Their
names are now soiled. Think of the consequences to the site that you
say you "love". You are not the site, WE are. I do not want to play
chess on RED HOT DAVE. romaxt
You know...you talk about ruining people's lives...so I guess it is not
the crime itself...it is the fact of getting caught that matters to you.
If someone stole from you...say your car..and got away with it would
you be ok with that? Or would you be happy to see them prosecuted
for their actions?
And as for using these terrible lines including "paranoia"
and "medication" just shows that all you can do is use attacks rather
than proof to support your position.
And that last bit of crap slamming on Tony was absolutely uncalled
for...he said not one bad word to you..yet you find it amusing to be
the way you are being.
Dave
Dave,I think your a chess cheat!!{sound familiar} How could some one
who is supposed to be as brilliant as Dave the allmighty, king of the
board, champ of the east side of nowhere, bishop of arrogance,
honorary member of IP2 and lets not forget all the greats that you
hob-nob with, come up with such a poor analogy. I can see it now:
Um, officer, some one stole my sequence of virtual binary numbers
and was really mean to me{enter: tissue}. Please, it's quite obvious
that you do indeed covet the #1 position and were willing to do
anything to get it. Is it all you imagined? Was it worth it? There should
be an asterisk next to your name. * took down the #1 in the Forums.
Your accusation in my opinion hurt you more than Mr Sin Tubin. Where
does it end Mr. McCarthy? Here are your pliers back and Tony be
more careful next time ~~~XOXO~~~
First of all, no threat was implied-- this is the Internet, where making
threats is rather pointless, unless you happen to live near Boston,
MA. Secondly, I am far from a "kid." Nor am I actually biased,
although i can understand how one would perceive me as such. I care
about this site-- that's where my bias lies. I care about these forums,
as well, as a means of connecting and communicating, which is why I
reacted negatively to your post. There are plenty of other mud-
slinging posts I could have responded to. I'll admit, my response
wasn't terribly mature (as, I trust, you will be able to admit about your
own posts), and I apologize for adding to the foolishness already
infecting this forum. Peace.
Tim
Kirk, that's why I got them, to promote the illusion that I'm not a
wimp! Just kidding-- at least about why I got the ink-- I'm quite
serious about the wimp part, although I prefer to think of it as being
diplomatic, and skilled at defusing potentially violent situations (I get
to do plenty of that at work!).
But we really do need a pictures page here so I could show my ink off
to everyone.
Tim
Apology accepted, and I thank you. As for the whole question of
whether or not Dave is right or wrong-- I have resolved not to get into
that in a public forum. Dave was my friend before all this started, and
he remains my friend. I am trying very hard to stay neutral-- but one
cannot expect a person to ignore personal attacks on their friends,
can one? And like I said, there were/are plenty of other posts I could
have responded to-- hell, I could spend hours just here in this forum,
responding to all the posts I'd like to respond to. But then I wouldn't
be playing any chess, would I? And THAT would be rather foolish of
me.
I do want to say this in Dave's favor-- it took a lot of courage and
conviction to post what he did. I can honestly say that I would not
have been able to do what he did, even if I was dead certain I was
right. There are those who will say that, regardless of right or wrong,
that he shouldn't have done it. I will not enter into that argument (or,
hopefully, ANY arguments for a while!).
As for what you said about messing with a New Englander-- I
personally think that Maine-iacs are WAY tougher than Bostonians.
It's funny-- if you were to meet me in person, you might actually
think, "Hmm, he looks like he could put up a hell of a fight."
Unfortunately (or, in some parts of this city, fortunately), I just
LOOK "tough." But in reality, Ihaven't been in a physical fight since I
was a little kid-- and even if we got into this huge war of words on the
Internet, I can almost guarantee that if we were to meet in person, it
would take nothing more than a pot of coffee, some conversation, and
a game of chess, to make us friends.
Peace--
Tim
Feel better now?
I told the truth and I also said before I knew this was coming...keep
kicking all you like..I have big shoulders and can handle it...needless
to say it takes away nothing from the truth.
And #1 has been tainted for a LONG time...I could care less..if it would
help I could resign all of my games as well and come back up...but
since I have done nothing wrong I feel no need to do that.
