I’m not sure the impact magnifies, but one’s appreciation for it does.
TU from me, Dive. I lost two within 12 months. Three more parents are still hanging in there (one natural, two step-).

Lost my dad when I was 21, a real shock. But my mom lived until she was 97 and I had plenty of time
to prepare myself, and the experience of losing my father. Nope, didn't mean a darn thing. Emotions overrule logic
@torunn saidI never asked the questions that tie up my past, I know my gran came from dublin but never asked my mam about any other Irish relatives ,my wife was the same both her parents are of Irish decent , she tried researching her past but the line runs cold in Dublin.
