I found that description in the FAQ's. But it doesn't explain everything.
Ah, .... the rotating stars, OK they are not mensioned in the FAQ.
I believe that the stars are going to rotate when you get over 100,000 moves.

What is an original pawn star?

Why do some rotating stars have the pointy things and some do not?

OPS's were people that donated to the site when it was still quite young, and before the subscription thingy was introduced. they have a lifetime membership. however, they don't get all the perks of full pawn stars (clans, sieges, cool wings on their starts etc.) so many have become normal pawn stars as well...

The pointy things are called "wings" I believe.

And for the rest I point you back to genius answer.

I believe they have all the advantages normal pawn stars have, they just don't get wings (I know for a fact that they can join clans). So when some of them decided to become normal pawn stars, it was in order to continue to support the site.

Pawn stars work = oxymoron

Pawn stars are normally geeky teenagers who play and chat here between revising and squeezing spots.
Later on in life pawn stars tend to work for the government they have to fill their day somehow and it may as well be playing chess.
There are a lot of retired pawn stars but as they can't be bothered with the general forum or working.

I conclude pawn stars don't work much. I hope this helps.
