I thought I read somewhere in an encyclepedia, that a pawn is not a
powerful enough to put a king in check. That a pawn must be in direct
contact with another peice in order to place a king in check. In other
words,it had to be "protected" by another peice.
It's been over 15yrs.since I read this article.Has the rule changed?
Or was I dyslexic back then?

A pawn can give check whether or not it is protected by another piece.

Yes a pawn can ckeck a king, but if it is not protected, the king can
also take the pawn.

Another thread coming back from death... Hi thread, can you tell us more about your experience? Is there a life after death and before resurrection? Did you go to thread-hell or thread-heaven?

Sorry. I had a "near-thread" experience. Now leave this thread alone.

I understand. You went to threll, and it was so traumatic that you don't want to talk about it, right? It's okay. Take your time. Maybe you should talk to a thrychiatrist, too.
