PC game save restoration

As a pc gamer I have one problem. If I burn my saves of a pc game to a disc before buyng a new pc how do I restore those saves from the disc to the loaded game on the new pc. Having just bought a new pc unless I get an answer to this question I,ll have to start my games again from the start. Advice from someone with greater knowedge of computers than myself would be appreciated.

Just drag the saves from the disk into the game save file.

sorta. You just have to know where you copied them from in the game folder, and put them back in the same place among the folder that was created when you re-installed.
