It probably depends on what program you use, but in the programs I know, it's "save as", and then you can choose the format.

It works as a print driver, so anything that you go to print, you would select that driver and it creates the file.. I haven't tried this one in particular, but I've used one similar that worked well enough.. I can't remember the name of the one I used though., it was a while ago
