I have a black pen, its 'new'. I have it a couple of years but its never been used.
Now i wanted to start using it, but it doenst write🙁
Its full with inct tho, ive tryd hours of trying to write on paper without result, ive even tryd licking the part where the inct comes from; no result either.
Im really desperate here because i use black colour and blue colour pens for different purposes, so i do need the black pen to work.
Any advice?

Reading your posts, I'd suggest you use a word processor with spell and grammar checking enabled.

Pen and paper may be aiming a little high...

i dont care about grammar nor spelling, and i care even less about it when we are talking about the english language.

i dont feel like bringing my laptop to every college so the word option falls off.

You have a bit of a problem there my friend.
I was faced with a similar dilemma in the Gulf, nasty business that.

You say that the pen is in fact filled with inct, yes?
Then what we have here is a viscosity problem, compounded by perhaps a blockage of some description at the point of exit for the inct!

I took the liberty of passing this problem on to some top scientists (you don't need to know who...ok...just leave it...GOT IT!!).

And it is unanimous that we need to reduce the viscosity and remove the blockage.

You could try dipping the tip of the pen at an angle of 45 degrees south into 10ml of household kitchen vinegar and then vigorously writing for 30 seconds, if this fails to resolve the issue, repeat until such time as your hand falls off.

Then proceed to step two.

Step two:
Pack the tip of the pen with some pen-tip-unblocking-explosives and give that a try.

If all else fails;
You could pop round to your local Asian grocer and purchase a replacement pen (they are damn fine peoples for this sort of thing), you might find that new inct may behave more favourably.

Try that, Tiger.

Good luck.

How many 'Asian grocers' are there in The Gulf?

Heat the very tip of the pen with a match for about a second, then scribble on paper and see if it works. I have done this many times successfully. 🙂

I got given a Space Pen a couple of years ago, which I have never used, but which I found yesterday. Apart from an ink blot at the tip, it was still as good as new!

Make you won black ink!

All you need is

1 egg yolk
1 tsp gum arabic
1/2 cup honey
1/2 tsp lamp black (buy in a tube or make by holding a plate over a lit candle)

Mix egg yolk, gum arabic and honey in a small bowl. Add lamp black to make a thick paste. Store in a jar. To use, mix a little paste with a little water to make a fluid.
