So I get this letter from our local state representative, Julie Harhart, saying you are one of the people identified as having funds unclaimed in the PA treasury. I went through the paperwork, if anyone lives in Pennsylvania, go to www.patreasury.org and put in your name, maybe you will find it there.
It turned out I had 5 unclaimed properties, amounting to about 1700 bucks, all of this out of the blue, not a clue! So I thought I would spread the word, you may have money coming to you. This is not a scam, it came directly from Julie Harhart and it checked out.

Its a sting operation 😛

Be warned, if it looks too good to be true then it probably is.

Uncle Sam will also want his cut!

Nah, Texas has the same thing. Last week the Sunday paper had a huge insert with thousands of names (but not mine 😠 ) and how much they were owned from various govt. offices. Find the official .gov website for more info.

The taxes, if any are involved, have already been paid in the original transaction. I have two paychecks that I did not know I had coming and regular paychecks already have taxes withdrawn, fed and state and local, so it is money in the bank to me. The other stuff was medical reimbursment checks from insurance companies, rebates (small stuff) from national companies like General Electric. So there are no taxes involved. The Pennsylvania site is www.patreasury.org
on the left hand side of the screen you scroll down to 'unclaimed property'.
Definitely not a scam.
