The irony is that, if that was true, I would respect him a whole lot more.
When the 42nd was formed in 1917, MacArthur said that the division stretched across the country like a Rainbow. The name stuck and any member would be quite proud of the heritage.

Oh, please, Pinky, what detail of my life can I clarify for you so that you will respect me "a whole lot more"? I'm dying to know, since you made a completely incoherent statement. If what was true? I await your answer with bated breath.

So you were in the National Guard and not the Army per se?

I fully support gays and lesbians. My next door neighbors are two gay men. My fiance and I frequently spend time with them, and I'll often go to their house ALL by myself! Another tidbit - because they're gay, most of their friends are gay. So actually, I rather frequently hang out with several gay men at once. See? I respect you a whole lot more, because I believe you. I know you don't care, but I felt I should say it anyway.
I'm still at lost as to why you chose such a homophobic online persona, though. I don't think I was the only one that thought it was for real.
And, of course people form opinions about others. So do you. Why shouldn't they? If they're wrong it's up to you to correct them if you wish, or not if you don't.
Originally posted by PalynkaAs long as you're including Al, I'd recommend "Mélange de Trois" from California's Madrona Vineyards:
I'm in love with Sassy. I thought it was obvious with all the sexual tension between us.
What wine would you recommend for a feisty evening?
"The Mélange de Trois (“Blend of Three&rdquo😉 is an example of the perfect harmony of the three major white Rhône varieties, Marsanne, Roussanne, and Viognier. Marsanne, the heavyweight of the team, provides the rich, full-bodied voluptuous curves on the palate with hints of honeydew melon. The nose of tropical fruit comes entirely from the Roussanne and Viognier, each delivering its own personality to the blend. The percentages between the varieties may change each vintage as they achieve the ideal balance for the distinctive wine these mountain vineyards produce.
From the first sniff, it is easy to tell that this wine is something special. The nose is loaded with sweet cream, honey and apricot characters framed by ripe cantaloupe and subtle tangerine fruit. The palate is rich, but not overbearing, with notes of honeydew, candied pear and elegant caramel. Bursts of cream, roasted hazelnuts and vanilla spice linger intensely on the finish, inviting the taste buds to enjoy the wine just a little longer."
Sweet & creamy, nutty, spicy, lingering on the tastebuds, etc... 😛 What more could you guys need?
