Is it just me, or is the culture thread rather quiet? Also, all the postings are dominated by music questions. Where are the theatre-goers, literati, cineastes and art lovers?
Is this attitude representative of the chess community in general, does a love of chess preclude a love of the arts?
( I would have posted this in the culture forum but nobody would have read it )

Music and books can be disussed easily from differnet people around the globe. Theater is possible for reginal people only. Where is the point in trying to discuss the latest Fassbender show with people on a chess site in the internet?
Even cinema tends to be not synchoronos throughout the world.

The post that was quoted here has been removedI made a perfectly legit post there once, in Culture. I was spankied back to GF! Why would they look to us GF-ers for help now? 😠

See the divisions made by too many forums? And there is a suggestion on sites for alternative sexes forum..... Geez - where are we going?... soon there'll be a Seitse, Mikelom, Palynka, CFT, Crowley, et al forum so we can say get out spanky for the hell of it! 🙁........... 😉
