Sounds like you need to select your desired color and use a Fill Tool. 'm right?

I believe once you find Fill Tool, left click will fill with Front color, right click will fill with background color.

Also, if you hit delete with a selection, it Might give you the background color. Sometimes it won't, and gives you 'blank' (no color/transparent).

That sounds about right, I just can't that colour fill tool.
In the past when i wanted to change the colour, I was able to mess about with the saturation and hue, that doesn't seem to be working when changing the colour white; or maybe I'm doing it wrong. ๐Ÿ˜•

White and black are tough to change...

Go to "help" in photoshop and search Fill Tool in the index THINGY.

I think I got it, I grabbed the white and used the paint bucket tool and coloured in blocks of areas, not sure why, but the paint brush just seemed to brush over it totally, maybe if i mess around with the settings...

edit: no, a much better way would be select the white, pick a colour with the normal paintbrush, and paint just the white you have selected.

You can adjust the opacity of the paint brush and/or fill (bucket) tools.

I was so used to Paint Shop Pro.

Now I've only got Photoshop. Everyone says it's better, but I'm having difficulty getting to grips with it.

If I PM you a couple of questions when I next work with it, will you help?

LOL!~

I use PSP, they are just so similar help from either helps the other most often.

I had a hell of a time when I went from PSP7 to PSP8. You just need to 'click and bear it'. You'll get used to Photoshop, and be ok after working through it all.

I bet RBMorris would have some great answers for any questions you might bounce off him.
