If you live in the province of British Columbia, Canada, and are talking about Physics 11 and Physics 12 (Which are probably the equivalent courses) then the answer is: No, Physics 11 is not a required prerequisite for Physics 12, but it really should be. Trying to take Physics 12 without taking Physics 11 first, for the vast majority of people, would be a ...[text shortened]... ASAP and get the hell out of that course if it is not designed to be a first course in Physics.

Physics 12 spends the first half building/extending on Physics 11. Physics 12 is usually a prerequisite for first year university Physics.

Where do you go to school?

For instance, in the US, its physics 101 for freshmen and it would be a clerical error for sure to get 102 before 101. Besides, its no big deal if you miss a day or two of the correct level of physics before you get it straightened out so just ask your teacher when you get to class if you can't talk to your counciler.

....i did...but after i turned 7 i went to school for 2 years and then realized that was a waste of time for someone like myself so i went
to bobby's house and whacked him on the side of the head and stole
his chess set and went to the park to make my living...bobby came
looking for me but then everyone went looking for bobby so he got
scared and ran headlong into a jewish temple and hurt himself real
bad...blames the jews for all his problems now but it all started with
this aryan here...
