Hey, GMS, maybe it's just not in some guys to be 'chessy'. I've found that thinking women prefer candor. Without it, no chemistry. Without chemistry, no rapport. Without rapport, no trust. Without trust, no loyalty. Without loyalty, forget it.
So what would you follow 'Hi' up with?

Great question. First and foremost, there'd be an easy eyelock (at least on my part). If she looked glazed or down at her nails or into space, I'd smile and glide away. If she returned it, I'd quietly ask if she was waiting for someone. If, 'Yes', I'd still offer to keep her company during the wait (especially if the venue was crowded or rowdy).

If, 'No I'm alone', I'd say, "Mine's Bobby with Colgate Palmolive in Boston. New Zealand's one of my favorite trips". If the attraction's mutual, it'll show in her non-verbal gestures. If negative, we'd engage in small talk for a few minutes (a few open ended questions, mostly listening), then ease it along to wishing her a pleasant evening. If positive, (to be continued)
