I have been hearing rumors of them getting back together with Roger and doing a final blow out tour next year, ending in with a huge show on London.

A friend (big floyd fan) heard it on Radio6 (uk) and another heard it somewhere else - has anyone here heard any of this elsewhere?

NOW, who here loves Meddle?

I do. It's my favourite.
Yeah I enjoy it. Echoes is one of my favourite songs overall.

'rumors' man?

Yes I heard this too....but then i suppose I was the one that heard it elsewhere.

And yay for Meddle, the best album without Syd

I'm not a fan of the Syd stuff except for one or two songs.
I know it's cool to say they were only good until Syd left but his stuff is very 60's and I don't like much 60's stuff. Astronomy Domine, Interstellar Overdrive and Set the Controls... are the only decent ones IMO.

The lyrics are tosh though.

I've totally gone off Dark Side of the Moon. Played it too often I guess. I can still listen to the whole of "Wish You Were Here" with enjoyment.

I haven't listened to a Pink Floyd studio album since A Momentary Lapse of Reason. I don't think I could bear it.

Not to mention my alltime favourite syd solo piece effervescing elephant. class

I'm not saying they were better with Syd - just completely different.

I'd say Syd's imagination easily outclassed Roger's. That puerile whining pseudo-socialist cant puts me right off.

Yes, The Madcap Laughs makes for sometimes uncomfortable listening.
