lots to think about so far
PF were of course derivative ... but they were pretty damn good too.
Listen to King Crimson and Van der Graaf Generator and even early Yes. Floyd just did it better.
but now ... how about Moby?
Songs is a great album and very Floydesque given the better electronica around now.
and as for Yorkshire tales ... we were so poor that we'd sit and freeze til Grandpa got home. He used to suck peppermints and we'd sit round his tongue to keep warm!

yes but thats your opinion i have all those lps and they are all classics and i love them but none of those lps stayed in the billboard charts for 20 years like dsotm why??????
That's not to say I disagree though- DSOTM is a great album, but I prefer Wish you were here myself.

I had the oppertunity to see one of the finest tribute bands to PF the other day called Aussie PF and without doubt they are brilliant. Seen them three times now and they give you a full 2.1/2 hr show that awsome.
