As his father was killed in WWII, I can see why it would be a dominant theme for him. Better than an endless litany of sappy love songs, which seem to dominate much of popular music.

Well all are good but Meddle and Ummagummmmma (is there enough m? not sure...) are beautiful and The Wall is heartbreaking.
why there are few good bands like Floyd now?
