I got this message and I wonder what happened. Surely this lowrated player wasn't using an engine. I can be sure of that after playing her.

Was it the two accounts?

I think Weadley meant User User 540413

And there is another interesting user of comparable strength: User 395942 maybe a case of multiple accounts? Or one of harrasment?

Who knows... (but the moderators of course.)

There are three ways to get banned off the site.
(1) He used an engine
(2) He had multiple accounts
(3) He harassed other players.

We don't know which of these alternatives that the 'player' got his banning.

No.

Mods do NOT know, Admins are the only ones that can ban a player from the site. Mods can only restrict forum posting.

How can you tell someone is cheating using an engine? I understand that a lot of kids on these chess sites cheat so they can get into "The Hall of Fame" quickly and impress their friends.

I myself have been accused a few times of using software while playing blitz, which is hilarous since it is unrated. You might think I would use it to boost my rating.

That qualifies as harrassment to me, a false accusation of cheating without proof.

Hi, Swede. Wondering if you have a clear idea of the Red Hot Pawn

(Terms of Service/daily operating policy) definition of harassment?

I have been sent random challenges by very low-rated players that play very fast and speak gobbledegook. They didn't quite come across as human. Any insights into this species?
