Others are starving because they're unemployed and living in cities, as opposed to living in a rural area or finding some other method of growing their own food. It makes no sense to declare that people on one continent are starving because people on another continent are raising cattle. I've yet to hear of a cattle rancher sneaking over to another continent and taking all their farmland and food.
