Tonight I have been targeted by a user I shall not name by endless pm's regarding a current topic.... I messaged him/her back that I am neither interested in his/her view nor would want carry on arguing with him/her regarding the topic he/she messaged me ...

Now he/she has send his 6 !!! message and I am pretty pissed off by this ... Any chances we can ban users from pm's you ??? Like a ban list where you can put people on and remove them again (if you like)

Maybe being able to block PM's from people you disagree with would be a good idea.

What I will say is that continuing to send PM after you are requested not to by the recipient is harrasment and not on. If you'd care to forward the PM's to me I'll look at them.

That's a cheap shot Boris, they weren't offensive and they were private. If you have such a strong opinion you should be able to defend it equally well privately as you sound off publically.

yes, this could (should?) have been dealt with by PM to a mod. But as Boris didn't name names no rules have been broken. At the risk of initiating further complaints it is my judgement that this thread has served its purpose and will only degenerate into an argument if left open, so it will be closed in 10 minutes unless I hear rational argument against this action. After that time please PM me with objections.

Now that is good moderation ... Close it as you like and yes I didn't name anyone as Exy is usually a good boy and I only wanted to block him tonight as we very obviously had (have !!) different views ... No go and close this thing ;-)

Isn't it better to row in private than public though? That's the point I was trying to illustrate.

If I get PM's from someone I don't want to read from... I delete them and don't open them. Sending a message back saying as a topic

I am not reading your PM's (deleted)

But if there is something you guys should talk about... please do it. Have faith in each other, and try to work it out!
