Poker... anyone?

I was into poker a bit a year ago. I drifted away from in and into chess, but just a few days ago made another deposit into my online card room of choice. Anyone else play socially or online? I do hear of chess players often going to poker.

i player poker a lot in my last year of school-all those free periods were not wasted, let me tell you! we never quite understood the gambling aspect of it though...

I play poker socially. But I prefer to play 'fun' poker over serious 'I'm gonna rob you blind, stranger' poker. Me and my buddies play dealer's choice with lots of stud games and wild cards. It makes for huge pots, good times and unpredictable games. I like playing No Limit Texas Hold 'Em but I can't stand how people who watch that crap on TV lik ...[text shortened]... ing a bottle of wine as fast as possible so that you get wasted. There's no enjoyment in that.

I have played at partypoker.com but now play at pokerroom.com because you don't have to download the program that screws up your Explorer. I don't use real money yet, though as I haven't played for long, but my play money is increasing!
