www.titanpoker.com - has a nice, simple looking interface and you can play for free.

do you have facebook account ? If you do, just add poker application to it.
I used to use Texanholdempoker, although it I imagine they're all comparable in qualities.

yeah i couldnt find out how to get at those sites free play mode..
and i dont have a facebook but ill try it.
does anyone know how to get to the free mode in pokerstars? ive looked at the sites and think this one looks the nicest. but i cant figgure out how to do the cashier when youre playing for free

If not, the first step is to create a user ID and password. The user ID is just like here at RHP. Once you have it you will not be allowed to change it, so give it some thought before proceeding.
So, first step after installation is to go to the site and create the account and select your user ID and password.
You will need to furnish some information about yourself to create this account, but it is not necessary to give any credit card info or to deposit any real money. Most of the information you need to provide can also be false, but I think you need to provide a valid email address for verification of your account. Home address and your name can be false.
Once you have created your account and validated it, you should just log onto the site and go to the lobby and look around and get familiar with the layout and experiment a little.
You can customize your table graphics and many of the other features available, so just browse around and get comfortable with it.
To get to a "play money" game, look at the game selections on the lobby page and pick which one you want to try, then look for the 'play money' button on the right side. You will not be able to play at a 'real money' table if you don't have any real money deposited in your account, so don't worry about that. The 'play money' tables are clearly marked too.
Once you get to the list of games in progress, double click on one of them and just watch it for a little while.
If you want to sit in at that table, pick an empty chair and click on it. You will be seated and then you bring your 'play money' chips to the table.
If you use all of your chips, go to the cashier and you can get more 'play money' chips. I think you can 'right-click' the chip rack at the table to go to the cashier if you want to get more chips and stay at the same table.
Anyway, take your time and look around and I think you will enjoy the site. I've played there for several years and enjoy the way it is operated.
