I downloaded the Pokerstars client (Vista), played it sporadically for about 24 hours (hiding from relatives), and then realized that it had somehow knocked out all of the sound on my laptop. I deleted it and my sound returned. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way that I could get it back with sound functioning?

You can turn the function on and off in the game but I can't imagine it involving any other sounds on your system. Why not try reinstalling I am up for a few hands.
