that took about 5 minutes. maybe a more thorough look would turn up an extra post or two during the relevant period, but the point would remain the same: he's not a regular poster here, he expressed confusion over a post that a regular would 'get', and it's perfectly reasonable therefore to assume he is unfamiliar with a lot of gf 'background'.

You are just assuming this is the case. How ever you want to look at it, he has been here 2+ years longer than you have.
Lots of people read the forums first get the idea of what is going on and then post. Look at your self, you came on knowing everything about everyone first post....I rest my case!
