Oh my God. They are going crazy out on the streets. And what the hell for? Barely winning their first game against a second rate team? Hoo-f*cking-ray! Let's all honk our horns for hours.

My match analysis:
I'm obviously happy with the 3 points, but there are some lessons to be learnt by Scolari in this game.
1st: Figo played amazingly well, but he was dead tired in the end. Taking out C.Ronaldo and leave Figo on the pitch was a mistake, in my opinion. Let's not forget we'll need Figo fit for the next matches.
2nd: Two defensive midfielders doesn't work for us (especially without Deco). When Costinha and Petit were both playing, the midfield disappeared and we suffered some pressure by Angola. With a stronger team could have been fatal.
3rd: Maniche brought some fluidity to the midfield. Sometimes during the game we needed a more mobile midfield to open up spaces. Tiago is great, but he needs to move more when we have possession so he can be given the ball in playable conditions. I think Maniche should have the place, along with Petit.
4th: Miguel looks in great shape. Defensively he didn't have that much work to do, but he looked back in good form coming up.
All said, a good game that showed that there's good understanding between the players and from which we can (hopefully) learn some lessons. 3 points in the bag and chances to improve sounds good to me for an opening match.
PS: Good luck to Angola, I wish them all the best.
Edit: Of course we'll need deco for the tougher matches but that's always the case with the best players of each team.

PS: Isn't it great the diversity of cultures?
There's been a major injury (maybe a shooting?) at Dundas and Ossington. EMS are on site as well as Police. Bloody idiots.
That does it! I am now officially rooting for every team that faces Portugal!
EDIT - Why can't the Portugese youth in Toronto be more like you, Palynka? π

That's it, I'm growing a moustache!
