you see, being scottish is exciting. we never know who we're gonna support next. switzerland, portugal, france?!? but with the english-tis always england πŸ˜›

nah-our main problem is that if england were to win we'd never hear the end of it. 38 years later...*rolls eyes*
Well, if scotland won something then we would be more than happy to put up with your gloating for the next forty years!! IF scotland win something!! IF!!!

That's a mighty unlikely if!!!! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

That's another thing - why does the BBC employ that miserable scot Alan Hansen - never a good word to say about England!

we all love it when england lose. the main reason is those awful commentators! after the france game - we'll just have to beat them in the final, snigger.

1966 and jonny wilkinson got mentioned within the first five minutes of every game.

the best panelist has to be gordon strachan who when asked by lineker what he would do if he was english!

btw Carlsberg don't do injury time or penalty shoot outs but if they did it would probaly be the best injury time or penalty shoot outs in the worldπŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Hmmm, not just the English league, they mention Larson playing for Celtic, blah blah, etc.
I see your point though - the British TV probably seems very England-orientated from your perspesctive. Heck, it even seems London-orientated from my perspective.

The British media are England-centric because nearly 90% of Brits are in fact English, and there's still significant net migration from Scotland to England. But I agree, the media have a metropolitan bias as well which comes from most of the national media being based in London.

probably because the mix of ex footballers and comentators know nearly bugger all about anything but the home leagues, so when they start discussing a player all they know about him is which home sides he played for/will play for. They talk about the UK because that's what they know.
