In the news: some not very reality-based people who see the Avatar movie are getting very very depressed because they know they can't ever get to the lovely planet Pandora, that it isn’t real and that they can never become one of the blue-skinned Nav’i. On the fan forum site “Avatar Forums” is a topic thread entitled "Ways to cope with the depression of the dream of Pandora being intangible," and it has received more than 1,000 posts from people experiencing depression and fans trying to help them cope. Typical comment:
"I just watched Avatar a few weeks ago and I'm feeling depressed and sad. It's like I want to reach out and be in Pandora. I'd do anything to be in Pandora. I've tried so hard to dream about me being on Pandora but it hasn't worked."

I watched it before Christmas and certainly didn't feel depressed!
It like all this twilight rhubard about girls wanting Edward to stare at them during their sleep or hoping he might exist so they can get bitten.
Do you know the age range of these people - I doubt it's adults who have other things on their minds then Pandora and joining the Nav'i!!!
😀

I think the possibility of Twilight having a dozen sequels depresses me.

Have yet to see Avatar so cannot comment on that.
Originally posted by homedepotovArhhh but do you have people gabbering about it day in day out and posters everywhere and debates, proper time wasting debates on who's the hunkiest - Jake or Edward! The whole thing is ridiculous - we should read classics instead of this trash.

Stephenie Meyer stole the material anyway.
